Kuan Yin's home in Second Life, the Sanctuary is just that - a Sanctuary without any ugly SL structures in sight. A love 16,000 sqm of unblemished land made purely as a sanctuary from the hubub of SL. A haven for the eye and spirit in Second Life. Kuan Yin Sanctuary is the home of Kuan Yin in Second Life.
On these sacred lands you will find many quiet places to meditate, contemplate your sprituality, Tai Chi, A Stupa, Buddhist Statues, lovely gardens, oriental buildings, Buddhist Market stalls and the Kuan Yin Oracle. Our Kuan Yin Oracle is a free service for all and has both the original Kuan Yin Poems and a modern translation of them. You can also buy your own copy of the Kuan Yin Oracle (the first to be sold in Second Life).
You probably won't see anyone here during your visit for it is truly a quiet contemplative place and we ask that you please respect anyone that does visit here.
In Guanyin Hall you can dedicate a candle for a prayer or loved one and it will remain burning for 7 days. A precious way to honour a loved one or keep your prayer active.
In Kuan Yin Temple it is a place to meditate and use and/or purchase your own "Kuan Yin Oracle".
There is also the Kuan Yin Sanctuary Wedding Lawn where a low prim wedding can be held with prior arrangements.
Be sure to see the Ancient Buddhist Temple Ruins that our archealogists have so lovingly restored.
There is truly something for everyone here at Kuan Yin Sanctuary.
The embodiment of Kuan Yin in Second Life - KuanYin Byron will be seen walking around in her royal white robes and apparitions of Kuan Yin are also reportedly seen floating around. Her presence is everywhere here!!!
